Vedic Art method

Vedic Art workshops are open to everyone who is inspired to explore the process of inner-realization. During the course we paint from the state of deep connection to our higher presence and from this perspective we are able to create art that is a genuine manifestation of universal wisdom. The forms and colours on canvas are an outward expression of an ocean of boundless creativity that lies within each of us.

Vedic Art presents knowledge of the universal Law of Nature. It is experienced through the practice of intuitive painting that awakens the source of wisdom within ourselves. Coming from the inspiration of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (known from developing Transcendental Meditation) who transmitted the principles of creation from the Vedas to Curt Kallman, swedish painter requested to establish a school of art which integrated spiritual knowledge with the artistic process.

The  Vedic Principles lead us to a state of complete presence with the deepest sense of connection to our creative essence. This unique map activates our creative life force through practical and playful practices.

"The seventeen Vedic Principles of Art can be used as a navigation map on our journey along the river of the history of art. We start from a point of silence and one day we reach the ocean of boundless dynamic creativity inside ourselves. To study Vedic Art is to study ones personal self in a relationship with the great cosmic self. Our inner driving force sets us in motion and guides us step by step into seeing how nature works. We begin to remember how to express ourselves from within, and we dive deeper into the creative process. This leads into expansion on all levels, both in art and in our lives. In Vedic Art it is not necessary to teach anyone how to paint instead it is the way to remember how it happens."
~ Vedic Art founder, Curt Kallman

Throughout this process we activate the intuitive, right hemisphere of the brain, the side with a greater connection to the heart. We paint without presuppositions or demands, simply guided by our inner-voice. There is no polarity of right or wrong in this workshop. Students paint in silence, side by side, sharing  the common understanding that comments are not made about each others work. This creates a safe and non-judgemental atmosphere, in which we can truly begin listening to ourselves.

During the course we paint accordingly to the 17 Vedic Principles through which we can get in touch with our Higher Self and discover a sacred path that leads us back to our own heart - unveiling a state of divine presence within us.

"During Vedic Art workshop you experience 17 principles of creation. They are not written anywhere but to understand them you go through experiencing this special process of painting, which is meant to awake your inner wisdom. Through this process you express what you carry inside, in your heart, you paint your life, things you love, things you dream about, things you are afraid of or those you want to heal. The only inspiration is your inner life. This way we may practice new ways to act, overcoming our limits. You may paint sorrow and transform it into joy. You learn how to be open for changes in life, as life is about change".
~ Vedic Art founder, Curt Kallman
